Regular checkups help find potential health problems before they become problems. Regular examination by the doctors may result in detecting the health conditions or diseases early.
Early diagnosis gives you the best chance to get the right treatment quickly, avoiding any complications. By getting the right healthcare, screening, and treatment, you will be taking an important step towards a longer and healthier life.
    What is a check-up?
Check-Up is a general health screening application for the protection of the health of a healthy individual, and to reveal the risk factors. Early diagnosis of many serious health problems such as cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and so on is possible thanks to check-up.
Why should you get an annual check-up?
Modern medicine aims to ensure that the person remains healthy by taking necessary precautions before the disease occurs. After the disease occurs, its treatment becomes much more expensive and health has deteriorated once.
Early and accurate diagnosis is the most important thing to extend the life and increase life quality while treating diseases like cardiovascular diseases, cancer, high blood pressure, and many other diseases. Besides, early diagnosis and regular treatment are of great importance in diseases such as high blood pressure and diabetes, which damage vital organs such as the brain, heart, and kidneys, which are insidious for years without causing any symptoms and complaints in the patient.
Who should get a check-up and how often?
It is recommended that the check-up, which is a general health check, be performed regularly at least once a year for all people who do not have any complaints or diseases.
The frequency of the check-up appointments varies according to familial risk factors (cancer, cardiovascular disease, etc.). Check-up is not recommended for pregnant women and patients with existing health problems.
    Check up content
Apart from our standard check-up sets, special set programs for certain age periods (children, menopause, prostate, etc.) and special screening programs for familial genetic diseases (cancer, cardiovascular diseases), age, gender, risk factors, lifestyle and family exist.
It consists of sets to be prepared individually after determining the risk factors according to the hereditary diseases, determining the relevant physical examinations, and the necessary laboratory/ radiological tests.
How long does the check-up appointment take?
Our trained check-up consultants accompany the patient at all steps. Depending on the content of the set you prefer, you and your companion need to spare 2 to 8 hours.
What should you consider coming to your check-up appointment?
    Being prepared for your check-up appointment allows you to be more comfortable during the procedure and the doctor to collect more information about your general health circumstances. You can prepare for your check-up appointment by following these steps;
    • Bring the results of previous tests with you.
    • On the day of the appointment, come to the hospital in comfortable clothes and shoes for tests that will require possible physical activity.
    • Do not eat anything for 10 to 12 hours before the appointment (do not eat after 9:00 p.m., do not drink water after 24:00).
    • Pay attention to details that may affect your check-up results. For example, the menstruation period can affect the test results.
    • You shouldn’t have vitamin or mineral supplements that day, if you have, indicate it.
    • Do not eat high-energy foods such as broccoli and radish.
    • Do not drink alcohol before the appointment day.
    CHECK-UP PACKAGES
Many people may not be aware that the risk factors contributing to the disease are around us. The main factors contributing to a healthy body include good nutrition, proper lifestyle habits (avoiding risk factors), and regular exercise. Naturally, not everyone can maintain these positive habits throughout their lives. For this reason, it is important to get an annual check-up. Knowing the state of bodily functions can help you identify any abnormalities before they get worse, show symptoms, and face a significant complication.
Check-up begins with a multidimensional analysis and determination of disease risk factors for each person. These are the patient’s behavior, work-related stress, alcohol consumption, insomnia, etc. It may include lifestyle habits such as past medical history, including the history of similar diseases, which will be considered and recorded as important data to be used in the design of an appropriate check-up set.
Creating customized sets for patients increases the probability of diagnosing diseases.
