Our Neurology Department offers diagnosis, observation and treatment services for nervous system diseases. The diseases involving the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves and muscles are in the field of interest of our department. Our department, which stands out with its fully equipped intensive care unit facilities, is one of the emergency contact points with its expert staff and technological infrastructure, especially in neurological diseases that require rapid diagnosis and treatment. In addition, our Radiology Department works uninterruptedly with the Neurology Department for cerebrovascular diseases. CT, MRI, PET-CT and SPECT, angiography, neurological rehabilitation, interventional neuroradiology applications are used in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological diseases.

EEG laboratory, which is important in the diagnosis of various diseases, especially epilepsy and consciousness disorders, sleep laboratory used in sleep disorders, EMG, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) laboratory, and evoked responses laboratory (EVOK) used in the diagnosis of nerve and muscle diseases constitute the main laboratories of our Neurology Department.

In our Neurology Department, services are provided in the diagnosis and treatment processes of migraine and other headaches, low back and neck pain, dizziness, cerebrovascular diseases (stroke), multiple sclerosis and other demyelinating diseases, Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia syndromes, Parkinson’s disease, dystonia, dyskinesia, essential tremor, movement disorders and neurodegenerative diseases such as restless legs syndrome, epilepsy, myasthenia gravis and other neuromuscular diseases, sleep disorders, entrapment neuropathies, peripheral neuropathies and similar diseases.
