The muscles and bones in the thoracic area, the lungs and their membranes, trachea, esophagus, thymus, some vessels and nerves, and diaphragm membrane are the specialties of our department. In Thoracic Surgery Department of Reyap Hospital, diagnosis and treatment services are provided in cases of major lung resections, tracheal resection, bronchoplasty, thoracic wall resection and reconstruction, rigid and fiberoptic bronchoscopy, mediastinoscopy, videothorascopy (VATS), thoracic surgery, tracheobronchial and removal of esophageal foreign bodies.

In our department, our patients are treated by using interventional approaches in the treatment of diseases such as lung, esophagus, trachea, mediastinum, metastatic cancers of the lungs, mesothelioma, sarcoma, thoracic outlet syndrome, thymoma, as well as diseases of the organs in the lung cavity and malignant pleural effusions.
