The GE Lunar Prodigy bone densitometer is one of the medical imaging methods used to measure bone density. The radiography method is used to make the imaging.  Bone density is measured with the use of X-rays. However, a device known as DXA or DEXA is used, which is different from the x-ray machine. In this method, the mineral density in the bones is determined by dual energy X-ray absorption measurement.

The GE Lunar Prodigy bone densitometer used in our hospital has been designed to measure the calcium content of bone to determine bone density and the risk of bone fracture. With this measurement, the risk of fracture in the bones of our patients, osteoporosis (bone thinning) and the probability of other conditions that cause bone loss are calculated. While making this calculation, lifestyle factors such as age, body weight, history of fracture, family history of osteoporotic fractures, smoking and excessive alcohol use are also taken into account.

The GE Lunar Prodigy standards made in our hospital are listed as follows:

  • Fast and high resolution imaging
    ●      DEXA FanBeam technology with SmartFan algorithm to reduce dose and shooting time
    ●      Accurate measurement thanks to narrow-angle FanBeam and Trueview algorithm
    ●      Reference values in accordance with the Turkish bone standard
    ●      Automatic analysis
    ●      Personalized analysis
    ●      Opportunity to compare with past analyzes
    ●      Low patient and operator dosages
    ●      Measurements with high accuracy and precision

We have all kinds of world-class technical equipment and physical infrastructure that can intervene in our patients, in our hospital. All medical devices in our hospital for diagnosis, treatment, patient care and patient safety are the products of internationally recognized brands.

As Reyap Hospital, we provide uninterrupted and complete service with our large and experienced staff, using up-to-date technological tools in line with up-to-date scientific information.
