The Zeiss Cirrus HD-OCT 5000/500 OCT device, with its system that measures eye structures with high precision and displays all the details on its HD monitor, plays a role in both the diagnosis of eye diseases and the successful and safe performance of retinal surgery, through the images it provides.
The Chamber View feature of the device provides a 15.5 mm wide image of the entire front camera with objective means to measure anterior segment eye structures. Measuring the thickness of the residual stromal bed, the thickness of the lasik flap and other corneal structures, the Zeiss Cirrus HD-OCT 5000/500 OCT device highlights corneal irregularities and determines the thinnest point for refractive surgical imaging, in addition to scanning the cornea with 9 mm high resolution HD. By improving clinical flow to avoid rescanning due to a missed orbital socket, the device produces a bright image that simultaneously highlights details within the vitreous, retina and choroid.
