Thanks to a Zeiss OPMI Pentero 900 microscope used in neurosurgery, our surgeons follow advanced visualization of diseased tissue, vascular systems and blood flow dynamics, and safely perform the operation in tumor or cerebrovascular surgery. The Zeiss OPMI Pentero 900 operating microscope, which is available in all operating rooms of our Hospital, increases the success of brain surgeries and reduces the possibility of complications due to the Operation.
Unlike the classical surgical microscope, where it is difficult to separate the tumor tissue from the normal tissue, the Zeiss OPMI Pentero 900 operating microscope easily distinguishes the fluorescently stained tumor tissue, allowing the tumor to be removed with minimal damage. In addition to tumor surgeries, microscopes are also used in surgeries of cerebrovascular diseases. Thanks to a special combination given intravenously to our patients, vascular angiography can be performed with the filter of our microscope. Reyap Hospital is one of the few institutions using this technology in Turkey.
